Sculpture
Working from a model, Steven and Matt slowly add clay, layering observations, until they have rendered a realistic study. From these studies they branch off in a number of different directions, doing larger semi-realistic figures, abstracted busts and torsos, and purely abstract pieces. The sculptural process, both in its observational and inventive modes, influences all of the rest of the work in the shop.
